Thank you so much for that. I agree that figuring out whether to use mo or ka can be pretty tricky.
When using "ka" which is an equivalent of ikaw when used in the beginning of a sentence is actor focused. On the other hand, you use "mo" when the object is the focus.
For example:
Kumain ka - you eat with focus on you, who should be doing the action
Kainin mo - you eat (it) with focus on what is to be eaten.
Hope this helps but practice will definitely help you get the hang of it!

Hello! I have a question, though first I'll start with a statement. I'm utilizing your services (including the ones on Youtube) to try to learn this wonderful language! For me very much a challenge but I am enjoying it, especially with how you all have put things together. I'm learning it because of a wonderful lady I know (whom is Pilipina). Well, I came across the use of "mo" and "ka" in these studies. I could not figure out how to best determine when to use which though; and she told me I would need a professor for this as it was very complicated (which was a surprise to me to say the least, her English is incredible). So I ask, is there indeed a way to tell or is this something one must figure out through a lot of practice or? Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!
