| Now, let’s take a look at some conversational phrases! |
| Listen to the dialogue. |
| Hoy, tignan mo yung kotse! |
| Wow, sobrang astig 'yon! |
| Once more with the English translation. |
| Hoy, tignan mo yung kotse! |
| “Hey, look at that car!” |
| Wow, sobrang astig 'yon! |
| “Wow, that's super cool!” |
| First of all you'll need to learn how to say “Hey, look at that car!” |
| That's: Hoy, tignan mo yung kotse! |
| Listen to it again: Hoy, tignan mo yung kotse!, Hoy, tignan mo yung kotse! |
| This Filipino sentence literally translates as "Hey, look you that car!” But it means “Hey, look at that car!” |
| Now, how do you respond to this? |
| First of all, you’ll need to learn how to say “wow” . That’s |

| Then, you’ll need to learn how to say “That’s super [adjective].” |
| The pattern is: |
| Sobrang [adjective] 'yon. |
| This Filipino sentence literally translates as "Super [adjective] that.” But it means “That's super [adjective].” |
| For example: |
| “Wow, that's super cool!” |
